Presenting an acceptable face to the world requires a goodly chunk of time as I age. I am tediously aware of the lengthening distance I must travel every day to get from ‘how I look when I wake’ to ‘how I look when I leave the house’. However, I adore make-up, and enjoy the daily ritual of creating a new face. Below are the products I used this morning, all of which I regard as tools in my belt to construct an acceptable appearance.
Clinique Even Better Foundation – smooth medium coverage, easy to use squeezy bottle
Seventeen Hide Away Concealer – I dislike shimmery under-eye highlighters, and this has a matte finish
Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Pinched – as I’m wearing a rust coloured jumper today, I went for a peachy blush
Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder – used a powder brush with this, have never liked those pads provided
Naked Palette (Toasted) – love the Naked palettes from Urban Decay, both sets are stuffed with wearable shades from matte to glitter
Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Taupe – having fair hair and pale skin, I tend to steer clear of black eyeliner, and this is a lovely pale grey/beige, great for flicks
Boots Exceptional Definition Mascara in Brown/Black – this went in the bin afterwards as it had dried out, I’ll be back to Benefit They’re Real in Brown from now on
Max Factor Lipfinity in Charming – a nice orange-based red which is not too strong but lasts for ages
